The elevator will only be open and assessable through upper landing park for visitors to view fireworks. Admission is complementary for walkway members, non-members will cost $5.
The Celebration of Lights parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.on Main Street with two Christmas tree lightings, one near Market Street and one at Dongan Square Park.
A fireworks display over the Hudson follows the festivities at approximately 7:15 p.m.
The Bardavon 1869 Opera House will be screening "Miracle on 34th St. following the parade, at 8 p.m.
The Mid Hudson Children's Museum, adjacent to upper landing park and the walkway, will also be open during the festival and invites guests for a performance from the nutcracker dancers.
